Customer Service & Order Entry Representative

Location: Lyndhurst, NJ 07071, USA

Description:

The primary focus of the position is two-fold. First, our representatives are responsible for answering all customer inquiries relating to the product, pricing and existing orders.

In addition, they are responsible for the data entry of all incoming orders.

Education, Knowledge and Skill Equivalent:

High School/GED or equivalent work experience

Job Level:

Entry to Mid-Level. Minimum 1-2 years order entry and/or office experience preferred. Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Windows environment. Professional phone manner essential. Prior experience in sales or customer service environment preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.)

1. Receipt and entry of incoming orders

2. Answering inbound calls

3. Responding to customer inquiries by fax or phone, in a timely fashion

4. Prepare change order requests on existing orders

5. Expediting orders upon customer request.

6. Prioritizing "rush" orders

7. Researching and responding to customer complaints of outages, installation and order status, which may result in processing a replacement order and or requesting an escalation.

8. Edit customer orders to insure all information is accurate.

9. Contact customers, if necessary, to resolve unclear issues

10. Filing open and closed orders when required

11. Other duties as assigned by manager
